( Note : According to information published in the Maryland Geneologies, a consolidation of Articles
from the Maryland Historical Magazine, Volume II, page # 320, indexed by Thomas L. Holowak, written by Christopher Johnston, based on the work of the distinquished genealogist, the late Colonel Joseph L. Chester, Mary Sewall, daughter of the Honorable Henry Seall did not marry Samuel Handy. An article
written by Alice Norris Parran, author and editor of the Register of Maryland's Heraldic Families, Period
from 25 March 1634 to March 25, 1935, pages 197-198, contradicts the above information. Mrs. Parran
states that Mary Sewall, of MANORIAL MATAPANY, who married Samuel Handy, 1679, had Manorial Rights, through the Honorable Henry Sewall, Lord of MATTAPNY.
