Ann Handy Harris was born ca 1765 in Snow Hill, Maryland and was the daughter of Reverend John Harris and Mary Handy. Elijah and Anne lived in South Carolina until Elijahs death. Anne moved to Lincoln County, Tenneesee. She died by June 27, 1831 at about 66 years of age in Tennessee. She is buried in Lincoln County, Tennessee. In her Will ( Probabted ? when ? ). In her Will she named seven
of her children, her daughters' husband and some grandchildren. A copy of this will is in " The McCurdy
Family, Early Settlers of DeKalb County, Alabama, 1986 by Hershellene Peek McCurdy and Howard
McCurdy ).
Her father was Reverend John Harris, born September 29,1765 of Welsh parents who settled on the eastern shore of Maryland early in the eighteenth century. Reverend John Harris was a Prebyterian minister and a Revolutionary War Patriot.
